You should not have to figure it all out alone.
Weight has been a personal topic for me for as long as I can remember. As a child and young athlete, I was often the chubby girl in the team. I trained hard, but I also noticed something important: when I lost weight, I felt more confident and performed better.
That confidence changed a lot for me. I went on to become a Ukrainian champion in two sports: sports aerobics and fitness. Looking back, I understand that it was not simply about becoming lighter. It was about how I felt about myself.
That curiosity eventually led me to study psychology. During my Master's degree, I became particularly interested in the relationship between stress, emotions and eating behaviour. It was not only an academic subject for me. I knew from my own experience what it was like to eat in response to stress and to struggle with patterns that were difficult to change.
I have spent more than 20 years working in the fitness and wellness industry. Over time, one thing became very clear to me: exercise alone is rarely the whole answer. How we eat, move, sleep, manage stress and live our everyday lives all matter.
After moving to the Netherlands, I started my own coaching programme and wrote a book for people who wanted to lose weight. Later, my career took me into the corporate world, working on fitness, health and innovation.
In 2025, I became fascinated by the development of GLP-1-based treatments. I saw how powerful they could be as an additional tool for people struggling with weight. But I also became convinced that medication works best as part of a bigger picture.
After supporting several people together with a doctor, I saw how much difference it made when someone had both appropriate medical care and a person beside them who knew their story.
That is why I created KO.
I want KO to be the place where you are known as a person. Where someone thinks things through with you, supports you when things get difficult and helps you choose a realistic next step.
Because lasting change is not only about what treatment you take.
It is about building a way of living that works for you.
